4 Years

Gosh, how is that even possible?

In those 4 years we:

Just writing that list makes my head hurt a tiny bit.  Honestly, sometimes I’m amazed that Mr. MPB and I are still standing, let alone actually enjoying life most days.  It’s been a wild ride. I look back at the last 4 years and am truly shocked by everything we’ve been through.

I have to acknowledge just how important writing has been to helping me survive everything.  And even more, just how grateful I am for the community I found through my blog.

Even though I have absolutely no idea what’s next for us, something tells me that it is going to continue to be a wild ride.

  1. I am so very grateful that you started your blog four years ago! Cheers to four years!

I do think that this time of life involves… a lot of life. The big things just seem to come hard and fast, one after another. Big joys, big sorrows, big changes. I was also talking with my husband recently about how in the past five years we moved cross-country, adopted a dog, got married, bought a house, mourned the death of our last grandparents and one parent (my dad), had three miscarriages, welcomed our son… sometimes it makes my head spin.

Anyway, thank you for sharing all of your big life events with us — you’ve made the ride feel a lot less lonely, and I’m so glad to have found you here!

  3. What an eventful 4 years! I loved seeing your summary of the last 4 years spelled out like that. It’s kind of humbling to see how the heartbreaks are balanced out with new beginnings, and that all of the events that were so pivotal and impactful of life as we know it are so unpredictable…. .
