A New York City Weekend in Pictures

Time Square. You have to see it at all times of day to fully appreciate the sensory overload  (and our hotel was ½ a block outside of Time Square, so we literally had to see it all the time).

Empire State Building. Who doesn’t love seeing a city from above? It’s a bird’s eye view of the traffic patterns, people patterns, green spaces, buildings, construction, etc. What fun!

Central Park. One word – delightful.

The High Line. One of my favourite NYC places. An ingenious use of old infrastructure to bind a community together and promote rejuvenation and new light into established communities.

Riding the Subway. Yes, I am that crazy lady that took photos of the art work inside the subway. I did it on my last trip too. Everything thinks I’m crazy (including Mr. MPB), but I love it! All spaces, including subway stations, should be pretty!

One Must Eat & Drink While one is in New York City. Yummy.

Random Sights worth Photographing. One must walk and take it all in while in NYC. And sometimes you just get to see fun things while wondering aimlessly.

    • I absolutely recommend a weekend in NYC – we had a blast!
The Lego flower was a fundraiser for the park, and if there’s lego around my husband will find it. It was rather cute 🙂

  1. Wonderful pictures! I’ve never been to NYC, but it looks beautiful and overwhelming. 🙂
I too would be taking pictures of the subway art. 😀 And I swear I saw a dragon head in the gourds….

    • Isn’t that always the way? I have never been to many of the touristy destinations in my own city, but I always go when I’m in a different city. 🙂
I’m not sure if I could live in NYC, but I do love visiting!

  2. I’ve only been to New York once and it was much too quick of a trip. But I do remember many of the sights captured in your lovely images.

They make me want to go back.

    • This was our second trip to NYC, so we moved at a much slower pace and had time to take in all the sights in a more relaxed manner. In many ways, I enjoyed our second trip more, and in other ways I enjoyed the excitement of our first trip more. But, both were amazing and I highly recommend going back.
