A Beautiful Life Reminder

Today I felt the need to share a video that spoke to me on a very personal level.

In the last few years I have been working really hard to re-wire my brain to start living in a whole new way.  My goals are simple:

  • To start accepting what is beyond my control.
  • To stop trying to control everything.
  • To start enjoying the simple things.
  • To live for me, not for an employer.
  • To find balance in my life.
  • To start letting go of all the intense pressure I’ve put on myself for the first 30 years of my life.
  • To really appreciate my life while I’m living it!

I don’t get it perfect every day, but I do try my best.  And this video, speaks to why I am trying so hard to refocus my life and change my priorities.

  1. Love this video and truly hit home for me as well. What a truly inspiring post to remind us all that just ‘being’ is so important. I’ve been trying to do much more of that too.

    • I’m glad you also liked the video. I thought it was pretty spot on for such a short little video. And, thank you Lindsay for always sharing your attempts to just ‘be’. 🙂

  2. Thanks for sharing this! I’ve been feeling lately like I want to do this, too. I feel like I need to find a job that is a lot less stressful, and allows me to live my life (i.e. doesn’t require me to work nights, weekends, and holidays). I don’t know what to do about this, maybe it’s just a dream at this point in life. I hope you’re getting closer to your goals than I am!

    • I’m glad you liked the video. I think it conveys such an important message, but like you I too am struggling to figure out how to do it. I think as long as we hold onto the dream and we try to work towards the dream, one day we might just achieve it.

  3. LOVE these goals. I might have to steal a few if you don’t mind! I was shopping today, well, browsing really, Nora and I were at Hobby Lobby and there were so many cute little wall hangings with special messages. I never thought I was a sentimental person, but I sure was today as I kept glancing at Nora, realizing how lucky I am. I didn’t buy anything, as I do want to live a simpler life, the time with Nora was what mattered today.

  4. Thank you so much for sharing this! May I ask, how did you come up with your list of goals?

Thoughts? I love hearing from you!
