Here is my seventh week of #100happydays.
Day 43 – August 18, 2014: Today, I am happy for the first real harvest from our garden. We pulled a bunch of tomatoes and some tiny jalapeno peppers. The peppers probably could have grown longer, but my other peppers were stolen by the birds a few weeks ago, so I wanted to pull these ones before the birds got them too!
Day 44 – August 19, 2014: My husband and I enjoyed an impromptu dinner out together. We intended to go to our favourite Vietnamese restaurant but missed the turn. So we went for the next most conveniently located restaurant – Sushi. The food was excellent and I enjoyed wonderful green tea. A happy evening indeed!
Day 45 – August 20, 2014: An excuse to wear my favourite red shoes presented itself today. Oh, how I love my wedding shoes and all the happy memories of my wedding day.
Day 46 – August 21, 2014: Today had so many happy moments that I struggled with which one to showcase with a photo. Lunch with an amazing friend; starting a new puzzle (I love a good puzzle); making sweet potato, prosciutto and sage risotto for supper; enjoying a wonderful glass of red wine; and, an evening snuggled on the couch with my husband.
Day 47 – August 22, 2014: My husband and I make Mead – honey wine. It is delicious! And, as always, we had a happy time relaxing on Friday evening with a glass.
Day 48 – August 23, 2014: Seafood fest with friends!!
Day 49 – August 24, 2014: We went birding again. After finishing singing Rain, Rain, Go Away, we got a few fun photos while tucked nice and dry from the inside of our car. We think this one is a Juvenile Red Tail Hawk.
Wishing everyone a great week filled with happy moments!
