My Way Forward

I see the best in everyone,

but not everyone has the best of intentions.

I expect unconditional love and compassion from others,

but the world does not owe me anything.

I want tomorrow to be simple and easy,

but no-one promised me life would be easy.

I want to be treated fairly,

but there are no rules stating that fairness is guaranteed.

I want the world to be a better place,

filled with compassion and love,

so regardless of others, I will do my part to make the world a better place.

I will live with integrity, compassion and love.

One day at a time.

One step at a time.

One breath at a time.

  1. Love this. Very beautiful, and so true. Sorry you’re having a hard time right now, please let me know if there’s anything I can do for you. *hugs*

    • I am trying to focus on getting through this week. If I continue to live by my convictions, I can survive all of this and come out the other side.
Thank you for your love and your unwavering support.

  2. I loved this sugars! And I just feel the strong need right now to tell you that you are stronger, braver, and more courageous than you give yourself credit for. This pain you are experiencing is not being wasted as you are inspiring, encouraging and helping other woman through their grief as well. I am truly praying and believing that you will one day have a happy ending to your story. Love you sugars! xo

    • I read this last night (while dealing with my ankle injury) and was in no shape to respond. But I do want to say thank you very much. Truth be told, I am not feeling very strong, brave or courageous right now. I want to crawl into a hole and hide from the world right now. Yet, I know I cannot, which means I will not. But honestly, thank you for kind words of encouragement when I need them the most.
