#100HappyDays Continued – Days 258 – 264

Another week of photos for your viewing pleasure.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed each moment.

Day 258 – March 21, 2015: I convinced Mr. MPB to start another small home reno project.  Any day that I get to play with a reciprocating saw is bound to include happy moments!

Day 259 – March 22, 2015: We went for a delightful morning family walk in a nearby park. On our walk, I spotted this guy.

Day 260 – March 23, 2015: Today Mr. MPB I were working late tonight so I was so excited to get home, at 10:30pm, and snuggle into the pillows on our couch. I think I fell asleep about 4 minutes after sitting down and it was awesome!

Day 261 – March 24, 2015: This morning I was happy as I put heals on for on the first time in months. After attending a meeting and then stupidly walking through Ikea in them, I was even happier when I took them off!! In fact, my feet were deliriously happy to be back on flat ground,

Day 262 – March 25, 2015: As a non-coffee drinker and non-donut eater, Tim Horton’s is not my favourite coffee shop. But, when it’s roll-up-the-rim time, I’m always willing to grab a chamomile tea in hopes of winning something. So, my happy moment today is the moment of childish anticipation as I drink my tea hoping to win big!

Day 263 – March 26, 2015: Today Sadie and I took an afternoon walk. The brown landscape at this time of year is so dreary, but I always enjoy the beautiful bright sky and the anticipation of summer always excites me!

Day 264 – March 27, 2015:  Our first outside bike ride of they year! Tonight Mr. MPB and I skipped our normal workout in favour of enjoying a beautiful evening outside on our cruiser bikes. Cruisers do not offer the best cardio exercise in the world, but they so much fun and cute too!

    • Thanks! We bought our cruisers a few summers ago – after our first few miscarriages because they were low activity so I was able to use them. Now we use them all summer long on nice evenings. They are so much fun. 🙂

  1. I love how so many of these pictures were of happy moments outdoors! Cruisers are so fun. I love the basket in the front. Beautiful shot of the deer- was it really that close to you, or is your camera’s zoom that great? Will you share a photo of the reno job after it’s done? I love seeing work that people have done themselves. No food pics this week- I’m surprised!

    • I’ve been trying to spend more time outside, now that the weather is improving. 🙂
The lens I was using for the deer shot was my standard 18-200mm lens. So, nothing too spectacular. We saw the deer in the bushes so I was sneaking through the bushes and was able to get pretty close. It worked and I got this photo without using my full zoom. 🙂
As for the reno, I’m sure I’ll share it whenever we finish it. The first coat of paint when on earlier today and I love it! Hopefully the second coat will go on tonight. Then lightening, counter-top, sink and faucet instillation sometime during the week or next weekend.
It’s been 2 weeks in a row without food! We have been eating, but mainly quick meals as we’ve been so busy – homemade lasagna that was in the freezer, steak and veggies, chicken wraps, etc. I guess maybe I should take the hint and spend more time in the kitchen making something yummy. You should provide me with some inspiration. 🙂

      • Sadly, the food inspiration is a bit lacking on my end with my morning sickness getting worse. DW actually put her foot down today, and said I need to get my dining out under control. I’ve honestly been going for pho on my own on a near daily basis because I can’t stomach cooking lol. I’m in awe of your stealth deer tracking skills, and that you and Mr. MPB are skilled enough to do your own renos!

      • Ha, I love that DW had to put her foot down! 🙂 Hopefully you can come up with something you can manage to make at home and eat!
Mr. MPB is a hunter, so he’d better be able to track deer. That said, I noticed these ones first. 🙂
As for the home reno’s – Mr. MPB is talented. Asides from using our saw and painting, I’m more of a helper. We tend to have fun doing projects together, so it works for us (most of the time).

      • Ha! I’m sure when I have “great ideas”, Mr. MPB wishes he wasn’t skilled at this kind of stuff! This quick bathroom facelift was supposed to take 1 weekend, a few hounded dollars and minimal effort. The reality is that we are on weekend 2, the project grew so costs went up and much more effort was required. Ops! 🙂
I’m convinced home ownership is synonymous with money pit. It never seems to end.

      • Yup, I totally agree. But we know so many people who can’t even get into the housing market, so we’re happy to be able to afford our place.

  2. Okay…the tool looks dangerous!! The deer is absolutely beautiful!! Did you win anything on your cup of tea?
