3 Things On An Early Monday Morning

  1. I went for my first run on Saturday (not Friday as I had hoped as I realized I needed mew running shoes).  The run went well enough from a cardio perspective.  But, as I should have suspected, I reactivated muscles that I haven’t used in a long time and now my entire body hurts.  It’s a good hurt.  But, oddly I have a bruise on my foot, which I cannot explain for the life of me.
  2. I think I’m still hungover from Saturday night.  It was a good night, with very good friends.  I honestly didn’t realize how much I drank, we were simply sitting around, eating dinner and catching up.  I guess one glass of wine turned into two, then three, etc.  Honestly, I am just thankful Mr. MPB was in a better state then I was all day Sunday because he was the only responsible parent in our house yesterday!  My body sill hurts.
  3. I hate that I was hungover yesterday.  Not because I deserve the worlds worst parent award for being hung overall day long.  While that isn’t ideal, the real reason I hate it is that I feel like I wasted an entire weekend day.  I value our weekends so much because they are the days that we get to spend as a family without work getting in the way.  These are the days where we go on little family adventures finding something new and fun for Little MPB to enjoy.  These are the days we make memories.  And instead, this weekend, I spent the day in bed feeling absolutely horrible.  It was just such a waste.

  1. Hey, don’t feel bad. Parents also need to do something reckless from time to time. It’s not like you have a hangover every Sunday, right? That’s okay, you were not yourself yesterday. It happens!

  2. Don’t regret! It was probably so fun while the socializing was happening. Hangover always suck. I think they happen for a reason though, especially for parents now. It’s life telling us to take a knee and just chill out of a moment. Chill out with bad tv and unhealthy food. But don’t regret 😊

  3. Yay for running! Boo for hangovers. But don’t feel guilty about it. You were living in the moment and that’s a good thing! I do understand that it’s not fun to deal with the aftermath though. 😉

  4. I wasn’t sure if I should like this post or not! Sorry you’re hurting from your run, and sorry you spent all Sunday ill! So happy to hear you had a great time with your friends though. I was down all weekend too, unfortunately. I just didn’t feel well, had stomach problems all weekend. Here’s to a better week ahead for us both!!

    • Awe, I’m sorry you were sick all weekend!! Being sick is never fun, but having stomach problems is the absolute in my opinion! I hope you feel better asap! And, while I’m much less sympathetic to my self-inflected illness, I hope I’m back to my normal self asap too! 🙂

      • Hahaha! I’m feeling back to normal today, thankfully…I was worried we would have to miss C’s swim class! All is well here again though!
