#100HappyDays Continued – Days 342 – 348
Another week of photos for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed each moment.
Day 342 – June 13, 2015: This morning we woke up freakishly early for a Saturday (i.e. before 6am), so we went to a farmer’s market to pick up some fresh veggies and fruit. And we found some corn on the cob which we cooked up for super. I was happy wondering around the market and I also enjoyed eating the corn too!
Day 343 – June 14, 2015: While out for a walk today and spotted this little woodpecker. I always feel so great when we find a way to spend time outside together as a little family.
Day 344 – June 15, 2015: This evening Mr. MPB baked his delicious home-made wholewheat bread. It always makes me happy that Mr. MPB is such a great cook, and his bread is amazing!
Day 345 – June 16, 2015: Mr. MPB decided to make me a leather belt. It is the first belt he’s made and needless to say I was pretty happy when he handed me the final product – it’s gorgeous!
Day 346 – June 17, 2015: Our basement is almost put back together after our unexpected flood – drywall has been fixed, walls are painted a fresh light yellow, trim has been cut and installed and carpet went in today. Needless to say we are pretty happy to have the basement back!
Day 347 – June 18, 2015: Tonight Mr. MPB and I enjoyed Vietnamese for dinner together on our way to an adoption class. Simple, quick and delicious – a great way to start the evening together.
Day 348 – June 19, 2015: My favourite dog deserved another photo. She truly makes me happy every single day!
Wishing everyone splendid happy moments!

I love all of the butter in this week’s photos! I’m glad your basement is repaired/replaced now. What a relief! And Sadie, what a sweet girl.

Oh my, that was a lot of butter this week! hmmm…butter is not something I usually eat, so that’s a bit odd. Maybe it’s because Mr. MPB also made the butter too?
We still have to get everything put back into our basement, but soon enough our house will be back to normal, and I am beyond excited! And, yes, Sadie is a very sweet girl. 🙂

Love the belt. Happy to hear the basement is yours again. Salivating at the thought of being able to eat fresh baked homemade bread, corn on the cob and Vietnamese noodle soup…

Awe, thanks my friend! I love the belt too! We still have to have all our belongings move back into our basement, but hopefully by this time next week our basement will be truly ours again! 🙂

Corn on the cob is one of my favorite things about summer! Yummy!!! How exactly did Mr. make a belt? That seems like no easy task! And hooray for having your basement back!! Love the color…that’s about the color I want to make our nursery some day!

Mr. MPB bought a giant cow hide from a leather store. Then he cut it with some sort of straight cutter thing, punched holes in it with some sort of hole puncher, and then he sewed the belt hook in somehow with a special needle that can go through the leather (he took the belt hook from one of my old belts that was in rough shape). Then he dyed it somehow and conditioned it with something too. Okay, now that I wrote out the steps as I saw them, I realize I have no idea how he actually made the belt! 🙂
I am so excited that our basement is put back together!! Next week our furniture returns, so I am really excited to have it completely done!! The light yellow would make a beautiful nursery colour! Great idea!

I love that the belt turned out so well! It’s the first one he’s ever made! And, I too love that puppy – if it were my choice she probably would have been featured at least once or twice every single week, but Mr. MPB became the dog police throughout the last year to make sure I actually looked for random happy moments, not just cute dog moments. 🙂
