#100HappyDays Continued: Days 108 – 114
Another week of photos for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Day 108 – October 22, 2014: Today, a cousin of mine came to visit for one night. We had a wonderful time, and as an added bonus she and my husband cooked a wonderful meal. I should probably mention that she is a professional chef – yup, epic healthy meal at our house tonight. The menu – sautéed garlic kale; warm roasted pepper and green bean salad with a homemade almond dressing; and wild sockeye salmon. An evening of good wine, great food and amazing friendship is my idea of a happiness!
Day 109 – October 23, 2014: I took an impromptu day trip to the Rocky Mountains with our friend. On my way home I stopped by a beautiful lake to soak up a few minutes of just me and beautiful nature and was overcome with a sense of calm. I could have sat there for hours.
Day 110 – October 24, 2014: I received a beautiful and inspirational gift from a true friend. My whole heart filled with love and smiled with happiness the second I opened the card.
Day 111 – October 25, 2014: After 105 days, today is the first full day that my husband’s broken ankle is considered healed enough that he can stop wearing his ankle brace and begin physiotherapy. He is even allowed to start running on our treadmill! This makes us both super happy.
Day 112 – October 26, 2014: Pumpkin picking day! Who doesn’t love pumpkin picking day?
Day 113 – October 27, 2014: Our pumpkins are now resting comfortably in there new home for the next few days.
Day 114 – October 28, 2014: After straining my calf muscle on my last run outside on a rather chilly morning, I decided move inside to my temperature controlled basement and use my road bike on our trainer in hopes of not further aggravating my leg. As an added bonus, avoiding the outside temperature of -4 degrees Celsius absolutely made me happy!
Wishing everyone splendid happy moments!

I don’t remember the last time we carved pumpkins, but it was fun so I suspect we’ll do it again next year.
I love biking, so the indoor trainer is an absolute must for me to bike year round. I absolutely recommend setting yours up. 🙂

I love (loved) riding my biking inside during the winter – good call on a trainer! Also…I have never been successful at cooking kale and liking it. I like other peoples kale, I just totally suck at cooking it. Dinner sounded amazing!

Kale seems to take some effort and multiple ruined meals before figuring it out. And each time we try something new there are no guarantees that we will be able to eat it!
But, this meal did turn out fantastic!

I love all these pics, especially those socks! So happy your hubby’s ankle is healing and he doesn’t have to wear the brace anymore!

Mr. MPB sure is happy to be able to live without his brace anymore! I am too, but I suspect he’s even happier then I am, considering it his ankle :).

I am behind on my blog reading and just now getting to this one. I couldn’t agree with you more on the picture of you by the lake after your trip to the Rocky Mountains. I think I could sit there all day and night (if I had food. hehe) Sending you hugs sugars! xo
