My New Blog Design!

I don’t normally post twice in one day, but I am so excited that I just had to post this right away. Today, I am happy to share my new blog design and new twitter (@mypbreakdown) design.

When it comes to my visual design skills, I have worked with many designers in my professional career, and I have a very basic knowledge. I know what I like and I know what I don’t like.  But, I have absolutely no idea how to create something that I like and that others would also enjoy, particularly in the context of a blog.

I spent a fewJR-Cropped3 weeks scouring the internet trying to find a wordpress blog designer that I liked. I never felt a connection with any of the mass produced blog designers. So, I took a completely different approach and approached a fellow blogger that I have come to admire – Johanne at MyHopeJar. She is a graphic designer by profession and was willing to help me out.

From a design perspective, I sought her expertise and skill because I really like the simplicity of her blog, and I figure if I like her blog, I’ll probably like what she can do for me. And, I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed. She was awesome to work with and I for one am rather happy with the new look. If anyone is interested in hiring a designer to make there blog something special, I highly recommend Johanne. She’s awesome to work with, and created something that reflects my personality while also ensuring the site is welcoming and easy to read.

On a personal note, I also highly recommend that you check out Johanne’s blog. Although our stories are very different, we have many similarities in that we are both RPL sufferers and survivors. I thoroughly enjoy the inspirational nature of how she shares her story and I have come to admire the strength and courage that radiates through her writing.

Anyways, I hope you like the new design just as much as I do!

If you like this post, please feel free to share it and please return to myperfectbreakdown.com to follow my journey.
