#100HappyDays – Days 29 Through 35

Here is my fifth week of #100happydays.

Day 29 – August 4, 2014: On our way home from Waterton Lakes National Park, we drove through the foothills. The foothills, with hay bales in the foreground and mountains in the back, are simply majestic in my humble opinion. So, to celebrate our beautiful and happy drive home after a wonderful weekend with friends, I forced my husband to pull off on the side of busy highway so that I could take this picture.

Day 30 – August 5, 2014: Our very first yellow zucchini have arrived in the garden! They are super cute and resulted in a happy smile because this is my first attempt at growing zucchini.

Day 31 – August 6, 2014: My truly amazing husband had a great idea for supper tonight – sushi.  Sushi is my absolute favourite food, so it is always bound to result in happiness, even after a bad day.

Day 32 – August 7, 2014: I spent a few hours outside mowing the lawn today. Which resulted in a pretty yard and a happy me.

Day 33 – August 8, 2014: My husband took care of dinner tonight, which is bound to make me happy – I don’t have to cook, and an amazing meal appears before me. This is a photo of his home-made wild mushroom risotto. He is an amazing cook, and happily spent an hour stirring the risotto to perfection. A happy night indeed.

Day 34 – August 9, 2014: My husband and I spent the day working together. So long as I’m spending time with my husband, I always have fun wearing a safety vest and playing with power tools.

Day 35 – August 10, 2014: Today we went out birding. Yes, you read that correctly, we went birding. Turns out a broken ankle restricts a lot of our typical summer outdoor activities. So in order to enjoy a nice afternoon, we decided to go for a short walk by the river with our cameras in hand. Here is my photo of what we think is a Broad Wing Hawk.

    • Thanks – those are some of my favourite photos as well.
I am amazed that I have been able to successfully remember to take a picture for 35 straight days!! And I’m only 1/3 done, so hopefully I can keep it up. 🙂

    • Thanks for the compliment and the encouragement! For the most part I’m having fun taking them. As for doing this for more then 100 days, I’ll reevaluate once I actually stick to it for the first 100 days! I cannot believe that I’m 1/3 done already! 🙂
